HEIL TRAILER INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS ITS DRY BULK PORTFOLIO WITH GAME-CHANGING 1818 AND 1611 SANITARY TRAILER DESIGN – March 21, 2016

Cleveland, Tenn. – (March 21, 2016) – Heil Trailer International is once again raising the bar in trailer efficiency and functionality with the introduction of its aluminum 1818 and 1611 Dry Bulk Sanitary trailers, capitalizing on a unique design developed specifically through customer collaboration and feedback.

The four-hopper 1818 and three-hopper 1611 models set the new industry standard for sanitary trailers by eliminating both internal and external structures. The patented design provides increased load capacity and simplifies complete tank clean-out, while eliminating areas where bacteria can form. At the same time, the removal of corresponding external channel reinforcements extends sanitary design features beyond the tank’s interior. The removal of the external channels creates a smooth exterior, eliminating potential bacteria traps while simultaneously enhancing trailer aerodynamics and transport efficiency.

“When measured against comparably equipped trailers,” states Ryan Rockafellow, Heil Trailer, VP Sales & Marketing, “the new design makes the 1818 and 1611 two of the lightest weight trailers in the industry, increasing customer value through maximized operational efficiency and minimized tare weight. Built to suit the needs of food product haulers, these lightweight workhorses are rugged enough to handle lime and other caustic chemical payloads as well.”

Traditional dry bulk vessels accommodate approximately 85% of total tank volume. In contrast, the 1818 and 1611 tanks expand load capacity to 96% of tank volume, a result of increased internal free area and hopper angle configurations within the vessel. The net gain for the customer is more pounds of product hauled per pound of trailer weight, driving straight down to bottom-line profitability.

“The 1611 trailers in our fleet are performing extremely well and deliver on Heil Trailer’s promise of improved efficiency, capacity and sanitation,” says Heil Trailer customer, Jeff Walters, President/Owner, WW Transportation. “Our tank clean-out process for these new trailers is easier and faster, which means we’re assured of a sanitary tank environment with the added benefit of quicker availability of prepped trailers ready for the next load. And because we have access to more payload capacity than any other trailers in our fleet, we’re able to maximize the return on each load as well.”

“The development of the 1818 and 1611 dry bulk trailer family is another great example of how we listen to the needs of our customer partners,” adds Bryan Yielding, Heil Trailer VP of Engineering, “and a testament to our ability to then develop relevant solutions that enhance their business and serve their bottom line.”

HEIL TRAILER INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF MODERNIZED CRYOGENIC TRANSPORT SOLUTIONS – February 8, 2016

Cleveland, Tenn. – (February 8, 2016) – In a big leap forward for the cryogenic industry, Heil Trailer announces the launch of industry-leading, modernized cryogenic transportation solutions; highly engineered and custom-built to meet the specific needs of its customers. Until today, cryogenic transport equipment design and production has remained the same for decades.

Working with the world’s largest transporters of cryogenic liquids to fully understand their needs, Heil Trailer engineered and manufactured a specialty tank trailer that preserves cryogenic liquefied gasses, such as liquefied natural gas, with maximum hold times. This new cryogenic trailer is the latest addition to its line of cryogenic products, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to delivering solutions engineered to meet the specific needs of its customers.

Ultra-high-strength steels effectively house cryogenic products while simultaneously minimizing tare weight and maximizing customer value. This weight-optimized configuration allows the trailer to transport up to 50% larger payloads per trip without the need for special permits. Expanding on its commitment to solve customer issues, the run gear is made of galvanized steel to reduce maintenance costs, while the galvannealed sub-frame helps prevent rust and corrosion. Heil Trailer extended its reliance on customer feedback to ergonomically design and position the controls for maximum efficiency and ease of use.

“Heil Trailers feature an axle combination, suspension and sub-frame built for the demands of the most challenging environments,” notes Ryan Rockafellow, VP Sales & Marketing NA. “We are uniquely positioned to offer custom transportation solutions for any market, whether for the paved highways of the lower 48 states or the rugged terrain and unique environments of Canada’s Yukon territories.”

Safety is always a key factor in the design of all Heil Trailers. The company’s engineering team understands the specific state, province and global requirements and incorporates solutions specifically designed to meet USDOT, Transport Canada, ASME and European standards for safety.

“We are dedicated to working with our customers to truly understand their business and bring them the most value,” stated Bryan Yielding, VP Engineering. “The cryogenic trailer is the most recent demonstration of how we’re continuing our commitment to delivering solutions that solve customer operational and bottom line issues safely and effectively. Customers have responded extremely well to our new cryogenic product and have expressed appreciation that their feedback and ideas are reflected in its design, engineering and production.”
